Tim Sylvia Taunts UFC Newcomer Brock Lesnar

January 4, 2008

Tim Sylvia is a monster of a man at six foot eight inches and over two hundred and fifty pounds. He is a two time UFC heavyweight champion, a superbrawl tournament champion and a gladiator super fight champion. Recently Tim decided to let out a few choice words about the upcoming UFC heavyweight Brock Lesnar.

Tim, who had trained with Brock before, believes he will loose his upcoming debut at UFC 81 against Frank Mir, and badly. Sylvia believes Lesnar, although a four time all American wrestling champion does not stand a chance because he claims he cannot take a punch and has no idea how to throw a kick. He believes his only game is wrestling and if Frank Mir can get around that and expose the holes in his defenses, then it will be an easy match for Mir to take.

Brock has been hard at work training with UFC legend Royce Gracie and well known MMA superstar Sean “The Muscle Shark” Sherk  He won his very first MMA match against Min Soo Kim with a submission in only sixty nine seconds of the very first round. Fans will be quick to point out a few things about what Sylvia has said about Brock. First off Brock is training with the best of the best when it comes to coaches. He ended his debut match in a fairly spectacular, albeit quick fashion, with a submission by strikes. Some are also speculating that there was simply bad blood between Sylvia and Brock once they split ways after training together and Sylvia is just letting off some steam.

Either way Brock will have his chance to make Sylvia eat his words, when he fights famed heavyweight Frank Mir at UFC 81: Breaking point, on February 2nd  at 7 PM pacific time 10 PM Eastern Time on Pay Per view. Also included on the card is a match between Tim Sylvia And Nogueira for the interim Heavyweight championship. The winner of that match will go on to fight AWOL current champion Randy “The Natural” Couture for the undisputed UFC heavyweight Belt.
