    Never doesn’t …
Never doesn’t include exceptions, you were wrong.

In any case the last 2 Pride Middleweight champions before the aquisition was made official were in UFC before Pride

  2. Rucker1980 on November 12th, 2007 8:27 am

And I have faith in …
And I have faith in the ability of the superior warrior to accomplish such a feat

  3. Cancun187 on November 12th, 2007 8:27 am

    You’ve taken this …
You’ve taken this statement “UFC fighters can never beat Pride fighters under Pride rules while in a ring. End of story.”, as literal when it was obviously a generalized statement. This has become a circular argument, which can only be solved in one way: having UFC fighters fight under Pride rules while in a ring. I have no time for debates. Top 10-UFC-fighters<Top-10-Pride-fighters (generally speaking). The End.

  4. Rucker1980 on November 12th, 2007 8:27 am

    There’s no need, …
There’s no need, the UFC is confident about being the best because, well, there is no top competition for them now as far as other fight organizations.

In any case, if Pride are so superior, they should be able to stomp UFC guys into the ground regardless of the rules, can’t we agree on that?

  5. Cancun187 on November 12th, 2007 8:30 am

    “If a Pride fighter …
“If a Pride fighter loses to a UFC fighter anywhere, the UFC guy is the better fighter that night, no excuses.”
That isn’t the case as all the fights are held in the octagon under UFC rules. There were never any excuses being made, other than the fact that people keep making ridiculous statements that the UFC is “superior”. Only one way to find out; fight in a ring under Pride rules.

  6. Cancun187 on November 12th, 2007 8:33 am

    We can agree on …
We can agree on that. The point that I’m trying to make here is that people are talking shit about Pride fighters because they’re losing in the UFC. I’m a fan of both UFC and Pride and the only way to know who is superior is to have them fight on both terrains. I’m almost certain UFC guys will lose under Pride conditions.

  7. Rucker1980 on November 12th, 2007 8:42 am

    I just don’t see …
I just don’t see why it should make a difference what rules and setting they fight in, the better man is the better man. Like in most mergers in major sports, like NFL/AFL or NBA/ABA the guys from the joining federation have to make adjustments to their new homes. There’s not going to be catering to the old style, that’s just unrealistic

  8. Cancun187 on November 12th, 2007 8:44 am

    Nobody said their …
Nobody said their should be catering, but to expect fighters to adjust instantaneously is unrealistic. People are making judgments too soon and that’s exactly what that fuck-head dana white wants. He wants people to think UFC is superior, which is simply not true.

  9. piethief on November 12th, 2007 8:45 am

    Too bad that won’t …
Too bad that won’t ever happen since Pride is dead and gone forever. However, we CAN see all former-Pride fighters fight and lose in the octagon under UFC rules. ;) Poor little Cro Cop… lol

  10. Rucker1980 on November 12th, 2007 8:47 am

    But the reason for …
But the reason for the backlash is that so many Pride fans were predicting that the new aquisitions would cut through the UFC fighters like butter. But with alot of guys struggling, it’s only natural for a little backlash. With guys like Quinton and Silva dominating their respective divisions, the transition from ring to cage doesn’t seem to be a viable one

  11. Cancun187 on November 12th, 2007 8:52 am

    That was a foolish …
That was a foolish assumption on their part. I knew it wouldn’t be easy for some as it would be for others, seeing as how it was never an easy task in the past. There are always exceptions to the rule and Rampage and Silva seem to be some of those exceptions.

  12. Cancun187 on November 12th, 2007 8:53 am

    Yup, luckily M-1 …
Yup, luckily M-1 Global is stepping up and signing talent. Hopefully dana white isn’t too much of a chicken shit to lend his fighters out to see who really is the best.

  13. Rucker1980 on November 12th, 2007 8:55 am

    Fair enough, in …
Fair enough, in Rampage and Silva’s cases, they have extensive experience in cage matches. But despite all that, I don’t think it takes away from the victories by alot of Pride guy opponents like Griffin or Kongo. The big names like Cro Cop and Shogun are World Class guys, and wins against them in almost any scenario are big deals

  14. piethief on November 12th, 2007 6:52 pm

    And I suppose the …
And I suppose the Boston Red Sox or any other pro-sport franchises are “chicken shits” for not playing against the local teeball team? Dana White doesn’t go to his bitches. His bitches come to him.

  15. Cancun187 on November 13th, 2007 12:35 pm

    You’re the lamest …
You’re the lamest mothafucker I’ve ever seen. You’re either dana white himself, or one of his bitches. Get the fuck out of here loser.

  16. piethief on November 13th, 2007 4:03 pm

    And now that you’ve …
And now that you’ve lost the argument, you feel the need to use insults. Have a nice day. ;)

  17. Cancun187 on November 13th, 2007 6:10 pm

    What argument was …
What argument was that? There was never an “argument” to be lost. Loser.

  18. DizzyDice777 on November 16th, 2007 10:07 pm

    blah blah blah, …
blah blah blah, shut the fuck up faggot.

  23. JAGTVNYC on December 14th, 2007 5:07 pm

    I don’t know …
I don’t know anything about Dana White’s personal life, but this guy is the reason you guys are even here commenting. Give him his respect. He took this sport and has made it what it is. The Ultimate Fighter one of the best shows out there period. Its good. He pumps Unleashed every week so we get to grow with the sport. And I think UFC and Boxing can co-exist. Give him his respect.
