December 23, 2007

The New Season of the popular UFC reality show Ultimate Fighter is set for its seventh season. Each season had popular veteran coaches including the likes of Chuck Liddel, Randy Couture, Tito Ortiz and Ken Shamrock. Rampage Jackson joined the UFC in February after many years as a top fighter on the now bought out Japanese Pride organization. His first match in the UFC was a decisive victory over UFC veteran Marvin Eastman. Right after, he went on to fight then light heavyweight champion, Chuck Liddel and managed to overwhelm the champion earning him the title and a place among the best in the UFC.

Forrest Griffon was a police officer in Athens Georgia before finding his way to the UFC through the first season of the ultimate fighter reality show. He had only been previously training part time and though was a good fighter was not picked early on to win.

Against many odds he managed to fight his way to the final match where he and opponent Stephan Bonnar gave UFC fans around the world such an impressive show that Dana White, president of the UFC awarded the 6 figure contract to both fighters. Forrest has gone on to great success and became a fan favorite.
