UFC 82 Details Revealed

UFC 79: Nemesis is set to take place this Saturday December the 29th at 7PM pacific time. It is so talked about, many are expecting it to break records already set by the UFC for views and sales on pay per view. While all this goes on though Dana White, president of the UFC has to continue planning future events. Here is some brand new information regarding UFC 82 which is set to take place in Ohio on the first of March.

UFC 82: Pride of a Champion is set to be the second Pride, UFC, MMA competition. This one, like the first Pride UFC battle, will Feature Dan Henderson Representing his previous employer Pride. The first event, held in England saw Henderson lose to Current UFC light heavyweight champion Quinton “Rampage” Jackson. Quinton now holds both Pride and the UFCs title belts for the light heavyweight division.

Henderson will this time, and apparently for the first time be dropping weight down to 185 pounds to challenge the seemingly unbeatable current middleweight champion Anderson “The Spider” Silva. Silvas impressive MMA record of 20 wins and 4 losses has victories over many well known and thought to be unstoppable fighters such as Travis Lutter, Chris Leben and 2 victories over the former champion Rich “Ace” Franklin. Dan Henderson will have his hands full with this opponent and needs to watch out for Silvas famous Muay Thai Clinch that put down the last champion in a short period of time This will be Hendersons Second chance to gain a title in the UFC, he does not want to disappoint. Expect this one to be a great card. No more information is available for the event but tickets will be going on sale at 10AM Eastern Time on December 27th through ticketmaster. As with all UFC events expect tickets to be on the expensive side and to go incredibly fast.
