Melvin Guillard talks UFC 79 and His Comeback

Melvin Guillard is a huge fan favorite. He’s known by most fans as one of the fighters from The Ultimate Fighter reality show. His abilities in the ring impressed many, he has incredible strength and agility and a fast explosive way of fighting that the crowd absolutely loves. This Saturday Melvin will be setting foot back in the ring after an extended break from the UFC after being given a suspension relating to drugs in Nevada.
After so long, some are worried Melvin will have slowed down a bit, but according to him he will be at the top of his game he has very little to say about his opponent Rich “No Love” Clementi, simply saying he would be “the perfect gift” and that he could not wait to “open his present” This fight is apparently going to settle a lot of bad blood between Clementi and Guillard who have been at each others throats for quite some time. When asked about how Guillard feels about the upcoming fight he said it makes the fight much easier when you really dislike the opponent, he even went on later in the interview to say he outright hates Clementi.
Guillard is of course taking his comeback match quite seriously. Having taken all the appropriate steps to improve his already very solid game. He has been training with world class coaches and used his time off to move himself to a better location in order to be able to train year round. Melvin is very anxious to fight and is keen on becoming much more active in the UFC then he has been.
Some may think Melvin is not taking this fight serious enough though, he is already planning what he will be doing after this match in the UFC. This could prove to be a good thing though it shows just how determined Melvin is and what fans can expect from this fighter in the future.
Watch for Melvins Match against Rich Clementi this Saturday the 29th of December at UFC nemesis in Las Vegas Nevada, available on pay per view.
